This Alexander 103 is, in my experience at least, certainly one of the best I've played. It is a more modern instrument (at least new enough to have a serial number, which is 6658), and is in really great condition. There are a few minor dings, but that is the only issue that I can seem to find on this horn. The valves have excellent compression, the slides all work great, the screw bell is fine (albeit a tad stiff), and the horn plays with the most glorious sound ever (there is no wonder that the Alexander 103 is one of the top models of professional horns worldwide).
There are a few minor dings on this horn, but nothing bad at all. It is unlacquered and the bell is spun (not the more expensive hand-hammered model). There are a couple of stickers on the case which indicate it has spent some time in Japan.
The original Alexander case, in good used condition, is included. The case does have a few small rips in the seams of the "alligator skin" leather outside, but nothing too bad. No mouthpiece is included. This horn requires a European shank mouthpiece.
