This Conn 8D is one of the best I've ever played. It has been well loved, well played, and well cared for. It plays with a huge, milky sound that is both distinctly Conn 8D in quality but also easily blends into modern ensembles. It is very responsive with short, fast, or hard articulations, but also has buttery smooth slurs. It can play very powerfully while maintaining excellent tone - but it can also play very softly, with a very sensitive, sweet sound. All of the registers of this horn speak perfectly as well. I can't find a single bad note on this horn. This is a truly professional instrument worthy to be played and loved by an excellent player!

This horn is unlacquered, has a cut bell, has a full Chuck Ward valve rebuild (done before I purchased the horn), a Clebsch Strap, Amado water key, and even comes with a Marcus Bonna case. This is a tremendous outfit!

This horn has been professionally cleaned and serviced in my shop, and is ready to play! All of the valves are aligned, and I have personally playtested the horn to ensure it will play great for its new owner upon arrival.

Being a used horn, there are some cosmetic things to note. There are some minor dents and dings throughout. Also, the horn is fairly well tarnished. That said, nothing is bad, and certainly nothing is affecting how the horn plays.

The serial number of this horn is K50290. I don't want to make too much of a deal out of this, but this horn was purchased from Richard King (former principal, now 3rd horn of the Cleveland Orchestra) by the person I purchased it from. I confirmed that he did own this horn, though I don't know whether or not he played it professionally.

Included is a Marcus Bonna case in good used condition. No mouthpiece is included.
