This Elkhart Conn 6D (N-series) is really a great player. There are no bad notes, the valves are quick and quiet, all the slides work as they should. The tone is beautiful and centered. It slurs smoothly and is quite a joy to play. I think these old 6Ds really have a lot going for them in terms of how they play.
 
This horn does have several scars from use - I wouldn't call it a beautiful horn, but despite lacquer wear and some dents, it is quite a wonderful player. I could see someone buying this horn as their backup horn, a budget horn for a student, or even someone who wants a really cheap but great playing horn to play in their community band or orchestra.
 
The valves of this horn are pretty solid. They still have pretty good compression (though it is not perfect). The horn plays great without heavy oil, which is great for a horn at this age.
 
A used but nice SKB hard case is included. No mouthpiece is included, but if you need one I can include a student mouthpiece (Holton Farkas or similar) with the horn upon your request.
