Here is a very fine horn with some very major upgrades! This Hans Hoyer 7802 Heritage is quite the horn. Of course the. 7802 is a fine instrument in and of itself, but this one has had a McCracken #14 leadpipe installed and I had the valves rebuilt by Chuck Ward (the original valves had poor compression due to a shop buffing the valves at some point). This horn is an amazing playing horn that has many decades of life in it if cared for well. There might be a few tiny dings on the horn, but nothing easily noticeable. The horn has no dents. The slides work perfectly, and the screw bell goes on and comes off with great ease. The horn is clean, has been carefully playtested, and is ready to play. This is a great, professional instrument with some major upgrades, PLUS you save about 4K buying this one over a brand new one!
This horn has had several Amado water keys installed throughout the horn - on the leadpipe and F branch tuning slide of course, but also one on the 3rd valve Bb side. These make the horn much more convenient to play. I was surprised at the 3rd valve slide water key but it truly is a nice addition as there is a good bit of water that collects there.
Included is a ProTec IPAC case in great used condition. These are some of my favorite screw bell horn cases. No mouthpiece is included. I recommend something like a Houghton H4 or Houser SF for this horn, but it really plays well with lots of mouthpieces that I have.
