This King Eroica is in great shape. This horn is a model 1170, built in the early 1970s before King became part of Conn-Selmer and changed some of the crucial elements of the design (such as the bell taper and weight). While all Eroicas are good horns, Eroicas made before these changes are considered superior to the later models, and are excellent instruments.

The valves on this particular horn were recently redone by Houghton Horns. They work perfectly and have excellent compression. The sound is rich and powerful, but the soft side of the instrument is very responsive as well. This is a fantastic professional level horn for a serious student or professional musician.

There are a few minor dents and dings, but nothing bad at all. The bell has had a some dents removed from the tail and some creases from the bell flare. All were professionally done. One very small crack was found in the bell flare rim, but it does not buzz, and it is so small that I don't think it affects the sound of the horn at all. This is a fantastic professional horn!

Included is a Gator soft case and a Holton MC mouthpiece. Both are used, but in excellent condition.
