This Yamaha YHR891D triple horn is an amazing instrument. It has a beautiful, sweet sound, an even timbre in all registers, a lovely patina, and is just simply a joy to play! I highly recommend this horn to any players looking for a horn that 'does it all' so to speak. It has a great low register, great middle register, and awesome, secure high register.
 
This horn has been professionally and meticulously cared for all it's life. It has been professionally cleaned on an annual basis, has been completely inspected and playtested in my shop, and is ready to play! The valves have perfect compression and work quickly and quietly. All the slides work properly. Only a few minor dings separate this horn from mint condition.
 
This horn is very adjustable to various hand sizes. Both trigger valves have adjustable mechanisms, and the flipper (quite handy as this is a somewhat heavy horn) is also adjustable.
 
Included is the original case and mouthpiece (a Yamaha 32C4). Both are in mint condition.
 
Some say that these horns can be somewhat stuffy feeling and irresponsive. While certainly heavier than traditional double horns, I actually find that this horn plays very well. It is slightly less responsive than good double horns, but it really does play nicely - especially the Bb and F-alto sides of the horn. All registers speak well. This is a fantastic horn!
